Version 4.1

Last year around this time, we said “Happy new year and happy new buckets.” This time, we have something similar.

Happy new year, and happy new decals! Because you all loved the decal feature so much, we decided to add a whole bunch more:

  • Added the Mando’a alphabet by AurekFonts as decals
  • Added logos like Empire, Rebels, Mudhorn, Firebird, and of course the Clan Fett Sigil

But that wasn’t enough. We wanted an infinite number of new decals, so we added a function to upload custom images as decals! Now, only the sky is the limit (and your imagination). From JPEG over SVG all the way to GIF, everything is supported.

I know I said I would never add this feature, but in the process of proving to myself how difficult this would be, I basically solved it and now here we are.

Furthermore, to make placement of decals easier, we implemented grid snapping. This helps you move decals more precisely, as rotate them to the exact angle you want. If you don’t want this aid, you can turn it off right in the decals menu.

Following the results of our latest poll, we modified the SVG download. It no longer has a background nor the Mouse Droid, but in return it now works properly in Vector Programs (we think). All your previous files still work, though.

Finally, something that (checks script) nobody asked for, I added a bunch of performance improvements, so the initial page load should now be significantly faster. This will be most noticeable on low-end devices, like old phones or tablets.

As always, remember to clear your cache, if the site seems broken at first.
