Version 2.0

December 4, 2020 By

Finally. Today’s update is the largest one so far, and it comes with some big changes. In the four week lifetime of the site we have gotten many suggestions for more buckets to add.
With the Gunslinger and Heavy we started down this path, and today we climb the first summit, adding eleven new helmets to the collection for a total of eighteen.

With this update, we are also happy to announce the first partners of the site. We teamed up with Ryley Ameden from AlterEgoArmory, as well as ModernMando, to bring their awesome designs to a MandoCreator near you.

A huge “Vor entye” for their support! We are truly grateful.
If there are any other Makers that you would like to see on the site, feel free to reach out to us or them, and we will try to make it happen!

This is the complete list of new Helmets:

  • Liege by AlterEgoArmory
  • Matriarch by AlterEgoArmory
  • Warden by AlterEgoArmory
  • Guardian by AlterEgoArmory
  • Tracker by @General Anubis#6342
  • Neo-Scout by RedBird
  • The Charismatic Mandalorian from Star Wars: The Old Republic
  • Shae Vizla from Star Wars: The Old Republic
  • McQuarrie
  • Pre Vizsla
  • Assassin

In addition to the new Helmets, we also worked on ways to make customizing your Armor more convenient.

All parts that have a left and a right variant (such as Gauntlets, or shoulder plates) can now be mirrored. That means, all settings on one side are copied over to the other side.

Furthermore, you are no longer restricted to just one Ear Cap attachment. We followed the voice in our poll, so you can now select multiple options from a list of icon-previews.

Note, that not all helmets have the same variety of attachments available. In particular, the sponsored helmets from our affiliates only offer those options, that our partners offer. If you want more attachment options, you should reach out to them, and find out if they are interested.

Lastly, the upload function has gotten a big kick in the shebs. While so far, you could only upload the SVGs downloaded from us directly, you can now also upload your SVG files from MandoMaker! Do you have any old concepts, that you would like to modify further with different helmets, chest plates, and knee caps? No problem, upload it to our site, and customize it to your hearts desire.

It is worth noting, that MandoMaker has some color options, that we don’t have, and vice versa. As a result, some of the colors might be slightly off or missing. However the majority of your kit should import fine!

This feature is experimental, so if you encounter any serious trouble, then please don’t hesitate to let us know.

This new version marks a big day in the life of MandoCreator. This has been a long time coming, and we hope you enjoy using it as much as we did making it.

Once again we say “Ori’vor’e” to our partners, and “K’emuuri gotal’ur” to all of you!
